so often it's hard to focus on one thing. even more often than that, i have a hard time figuring out what to tell you about. so much happens, and so much is forgotten. a New Year's resolution would be to write more. i need to remember things, yeah, of course i remember important things..but the little things are worth so much more oftentimes.

so how does one gather all of these things together, and focus enough to make it into one journal?

You Simply Can't.

okay. so sorry for that sudden font, type and everything..I mean, i guess if one really wanted too..they totally could...but the average (or rather...abnormal..;))person..can't.

The reason i named this post "Finding Inspiration" is because i believe so many of us need inspiration. i have a hard enough time thinking up a topic to write about...even though i have so many things i know i want to write about.

sometimes it's about looking deeper and finding inspiration.

How does one "Find Inspiration" though? That is what i'm going to show you. no, i don't have all of it, but what i do know i will show you!

|Lilly's List (how one might)Finding Inspiration|

1. Pinterest

so seriously..pinterest has the best ideas ever...you can look up DIY's, photography, and anything that inspires you. anything.

2. Wake up with Determination

that pretty much says it all.

3. Take a break

if you take a break, things just come at you and it's super incredible. I would recommend keeping a notepad or sketchpad with you. at all times. Collect things, scraps, doodles, anything that you think might come in handy one day and anything you might not think will come in handy..but trust me; everything comes in handy.

4. Personalize It

personalizing anything makes it more special. take time to get a sketchpad, add pockets, laminated pictures, magazine scraps, and add these things inside, and designate certain areas of it for certain things!

5. Make a Sheet of Goals

I took a class over the summer that was focused on studying..but at the start, we all created a poster of goals under each of the following catagories

  • language skills

  • places traveled

  • relationships

  • writing skills

  • reading skills

  • math skills

  • relationship skills

  • visual art skills

  • musical skills

  • core knowledge/skills

  • impact

So there you have it mon cherie! Have your own ways of finding inspiration? Tell me, I love learning about others' thoughts on what i write about!

a bientot!

Lilly
